Python Software Engineer (Backend/API), Edinburgh
This remarkably successful and pioneering online giant is looking for a Software Engineer with strong Python skills to supply backend services for a predominantly mobile based stream.
In this role you will work with a full stack team who are mainly focussed on native application development. As a Python Software Engineer you will provide the API and backend capabilities necessary for those applications to hook into a number of sources. This will be a mix of in-depth, complex engineering tasks as well as quick-fire UI/UX improvements to our product suite.
The tech stack in this area requires experience and a desire to deliver Python-based REST solutions although you may touch on other technologies including Java & GraphQL Their full-stack philosophy also provides the opportunity to take on other tasks, where necessary to assist the team in delivering their goals.
The successful Python Software Engineer will have the following skills and experience:
• Python software engineering
• Backend REST / API
Other highly desirable skills include:
• Experience working in an Agile software engineering environment
• Backend services for mobile work streams
• Java or GraphQL
