The People Network are currently working with an exciting automotive company who are pushing the boundaries of hybrid electric vehicles.

We are currently on the search for a PCB Manufacturing Engineer to join the company on a permanent basis.

Essential Skills and Experience

Experience in Electronics Manufacturing preferably gained Surface Mount Technology (SMT), PCB Testing, Process Design, and Electronics soldering techniques

Experience of NPI (New Product Introduction) – Knowledge in PCB Design for Manufacture / Automation

Ability to drive process improvements by applying best practice manufacturing techniques

Experience or awareness of electronics circuit design/troubleshooting

Working to deadlines and Business KPI objectives

Excellent Communication Skills (both written and verbal)

Computer literacy specifically with MS Excel, MS Word and MS Project

Desirable Skills and Experience

Experience in a similar role in an automotive OEM or supplier

PCB Assembly

Procurement, installation, and commissioning of new production lines and equipment

Carrying out risk assessments to processes. COSHH e.t.c

Control project budgets

Implement line balancing of equipment and operator through standardised work

Support the maintenance TPM initiative, (Constantly looking to improve equipment performance and availability to achieve OEE targets)

CAD proficient – Preferably in AutoCAD Inventor

Knowledge of Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC & PUWER98

Work process analysis / Process Mapping / Man machine Interactions / Line Balancing / VSM

Familiar with international and quality standards such as ISO9001 / TS16949 / IPC / J Standards

Design FMEA / Process FMEA / Process Flow Diagrams / Control Plans / MSA / Contribute to preparation of PPAP submissions

Control Documents including work instructions, BOMs and routings are available and accurate

8D Investigations and reporting

Customer Interface

Personal Attributes

Excellent communication skills and able to deal with all levels of the organisation

Leader in workplace health and safety

Must be able to work alone with minimum guidance, but also be able to operate effectively as part of a team

Organised with good problem-solving skills. Root cause analysis

Able to lead others to achieve business objectives

Qualifications

HNC / BEng (Hons) in Electrical, Mechanical or Production Engineering or equivalent

Minimum of 5 years' relevant professional experience
