Senior Procurement Manager – IT

Senior Procurement Manager with exceptional communication skills required by leading global telco.

This innovative organisation are embarking on huge technology transformation to become service led and 'digital first' and for this varied, challenging role they need a Senior Procurement Manger (essentially a Subject Matter Expert!) who can bring strong experience in managing complex and high value outsource programmes.

This role will see you lead the IT category, understand requirements, assess challenges and drive the team forward, in order to enhance the procurement offerings to the wider business. You will lead the business through commercial negotiations working closely with both internal and external senior stakeholders (often up to C-level) and will use your knowledge of contract law to help settle legal disputes.

With a fast paced environment, on occasions you will need to use your experience and gravitas to challenge, advise, coach, give guidance and put in structure. A good ability to manage expectations is therefore needed and you will have the chance to influence peers and your line manager to alternative ways of working where relevant and beneficial.

• Exceptional skills in managing high value commercial relationships with vendors (ideally IT vendors/partners)

• Strong knowledge of contract law and complex supplier contracts

• Excellent skills in procurement, both business case development and process management

• High level of internal stakeholder management skills – ability to influence up to board level

Strong stakeholder skills and excellent communication skills are really essential and you will also bring strong skills in negotiation, planning and organising and will be a self-starter. A CIPS qualification would also be desirable.

Based in Berkshire this senior level, key role is offering the successful candidate a salary of £100k-£110k, car allowance, up to 25% bonus and benefits including pension, medical, life and 28 days holiday as well as other perks.
