Job Details

Salesforce Technical Architect required by established, market leading global solution vendor whose products are 100% built on the Salesforce platform.

Due to continued European growth this dynamic company is seeking a Technical Architect to play a key role on large and complex engagements for a range of clients.

Why is this Technical Architect role different? Well for starters a lot of the projects are for clients based on mainland Europe. Despite this, the amount of travel and onsite work is much less that you will find at a typical Salesforce Consulting partner or SI, in fact the team rarely travel for more than 1 week in a month with the rest of the time either working from home or in the office. Crucially, this good work-life balance has the support of the management team and this is just one of many strengths of this company.

It's an exciting time to join this vendor as their new owners have big plans to accelerate growth initiatives and pursue new strategic partnerships for their market-leading technology.

What will you do?  As Technical Architect you will be responsible for defining business & technical requirements, solution architecture, and assisting with organising the implementation. On some engagements you may also act as a Subject Matter Expert providing customisation, development, and integration support for projects. You will lead and manage developers (internal, partner, and clients) whilst also being prepared and ready to roll-up your sleeves and be hands on when necessary. Success will depend on you thinking creatively, owning projects and building solid client relationships.

What do I need to be considered?  Firstly, you must be a passionate and driven Technical Architect who possesses a strong track record in the technical design and delivery of Salesforce solutions. You must have strong client facing consulting skills and will have played a lead role in a number of end-to-end Salesforce deliveries.  You will have hands-on skills in developing with the Salesforce platform (e.g. Lightning Components, Configuration, Visualforce, Apex, Process Builders, Triggers, Data Loaders, etc.) and strong experience with technologies supporting SaaS applications such as XML, Web Services, HTML, Java and JavaScript. Integration experience with Salesforce components including but not limited to API’s, APEX Web Services, Apex Call Outs, outbound messaging, SSO, and data loaders is also needed. As well as strong technical skills you must also have exceptional stakeholder
communication skills and will be used to managing and influencing senior level client stakeholders. You will be able to demonstrate good leadership skills and will be able to work effectively in a globally distributed team. Finally, you must be self-motivated, driven and able to operate well in a fast paced environment.

This would be an excellent move for someone looking to move out of a large/boutique consultancy, Salesforce partner or corporate end user environment into a vendor where there are significant growth opportunities and a much better work/life balance.

What will I get in return?  The successful candidate can expect a fully remote based contract and a starting salary from £90k-£110k plus 15% bonus and comprehensive benefits including 10% pension, medical and 26 days holiday.
