Project Officer – Essex – up to £27k + Bens
Project Officer required by dynamic Public Sector organisation in Essex for an initial 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.
This is a great opportunity to play a key role in supporting Programme Managers and Project Managers on what is a large change and transformation programme.
You will undertake a range of activities to ensure the successful delivery of programmes and projects in line with Prince2, Agile and MSP principles. You will ensure change work is supported to realise business benefits, and that stakeholders are informed by an awareness of on-going developments. You will monitor and document progress, respond to issues and initiate corrective action as appropriate. You will also generate reports, letters, minutes of meetings and presentations, and compile data - representing it in a way that is easy to comprehend.
This PMO role requires someone who can work collaboratively, who can promote a positive team environment and who acts as a positive advocate for change, being open to new ideas and ways of working, encouraging colleagues to proactively respond to change and helping others to understand why change is necessary.
To be considered you will be a Project Officer with experience of working on large change and transformation projects and programmes, ideally focused around people and organisational change. You must be highly organised, possess excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills and will have a good appreciation of project management principles. You will also need experience of MS Projects and/or Visio. Public sector experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
Initially a 12 month fixed term contract, due to the strategic nature of this role there is a possibility of further extension beyond this.
This role is based at this organisation's headquarters in Essex within an easy commute of Chelmsford, Colchester and Braintree with a salary of up to £25k-£27k on offer plus excellent public sector pension and other benefits.
