Contract Technical Writer (AdTech space) – Fully Remote

A great new contract opportunity has become live for a fully remote Technical Writer (AdTech space) to join an up and coming start-up to work on customer and internal facing documentation.
This is a cross-functional role that works across engineering, product, and support. We are looking for a person able to communicate with both technical and business audiences, although the style of writing will be informative rather than marketing-led.

Responsibilities include:

- Rapidly review existing material to understand the starting-point
- Organise and write supporting documents for products, based a list of priorities which the business will supply
- Create operating instructions, how-to manuals, step-by-step procedures, use cases and FAQ pages to help internal and external stakeholders
- Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
- Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
- Revise documents as the product changes or new issues arise

 
 
Requirements:

- Proven experience of technical writing or software documentation experience
- Ability to deliver high-quality documentation, paying attention to detail
- Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and make them easily understandable in text
- Ability to communicate information to people with diverse professional backgrounds
- Evidence of technical and analytical aptitude alongside communication skills
- Excellent written English
- While our product is not a database in the traditional sense, a basic understanding of database concepts will be an advantage
- We will be particularly interested to speak with any candidate with experience in AdTech or MarTech

Contract length is likely to be an initial 3 months but could be extended on and day rate is market rate
