Data Engineer – Remote

Data Engineer required on a permanent and fully remote basis, working for an exciting business that live and breathe cloud, data, and AI. We are looking for a Data Engineer to work collaboratively with a team of product managers, data analysts, architects, engineers, governance specialists and operation experts to deliver high quality data outcomes. As a Data Engineer, you can expect to receive the following remuneration package:

- Basic salary of up to £60k
- Annual Bonus of 10% (Split across two 6 month instalments)
- Full Remote Working
- 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes etc.)

As a Data Engineer, your day-to-day responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

- Designing and implementing well designed code: easily scalable and readable.
- Design well-structured tables that are structured for wide-spread use (i.e., using Kiball Modelling).
- Automate tasks and deploy production standard code (with unit testing, continuous integration, versioning etc).
- Clearly communicate your work and provide confidence to drive change in a business.
- Understand complex requirements and break down into actionable chunks of work.
- Ability to coach/upskill other members of the team.

- Python and SQL skills.
- Fairly tech agnostic, but strong experience Azure would be preferential, AWS and GCP desirable.
- Commercial expertise in building end-to-end data products.
- Expertise in modern data tools including Spark and Kafka.
- Background in building out ETL processes.
- A desire and passion for building high quality products that drive change.
- A results-orientated mind-set with a passion for data and a keen eye for detail.
- Able to work in fast-paced environments, rolling onto multiple projects if needed at any one time.
