MI Analyst
MI Analyst with strong skills in Power BI and Excel required by leading, global financial services business.

As MI Analyst you will work in partnership with stakeholders from a variety of internal teams to create and deliver MI reports, dashboards and solutions. You will be involved in the production of a portfolio of reports, ad-hoc analysis, and projects that will help the business make better data-led decisions and streamline processes.  On top of generating business insights and presenting analysis findings, you will aim to challenge the status quo by introducing new perspectives and innovative thinking to drive new methods and you will represent the MI team in a variety of interesting projects.
You may be an MI Analyst looking for a fresh new challenge or you may even be working as a Reporting Analyst, Financial Analyst, Data Analyst or Data Scientist and looking to take your career in a different direction.
Skills and experience required:

- Strong hands-on skills in Power BI and Excel.     
- Exposure to Power Query and SQL
- Good experience in preparing and presenting MI and Insights (any data visualisation experience would be advantageous)
- A good understanding/exposure to working with financial information such as financial reporting, reconciliation, credit control or other financial concepts
- Good problem-solving ability and an analytical mindset
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills

Experience of working in a customer-focused environment and the ability to work well in a team and autonomously is also required.
The successful candidate can expect a salary of £28,000 - £33,000, plus a company bonus, a superb 12% non-contributory pension scheme and other great benefits. This company offer excellent training and great opportunities for long term career growth.
This role is a Hybrid role that will see you work from the Birmingham office 1-2 days a week and 2-3 days at home, but there is a lot of flexibility on offer around this working pattern.
