Solution Architect required to join a dynamic, highly talented Architecture team at a leading Financial Services organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact in a team of IT Architects and help shape the transformation of this organsiation digitally.  

This dynamic global business is undergoing a major digital transformation and has an ambitious array of projects, including decommissioning and replacing legacy applications with innovative cloud-based tech, building products, and fixing complex technical challenges. 

You will support the design and delivery of compliant solutions that meet the needs of the business. Working collaboratively with a range of colleagues from across the business, you will prepare solution design documents and presentations, understanding and evaluating multiple platforms, software packages, and custom components to design solutions.  

This is a role where you will have to balance multiple projects and requirements and you will need to work with and influence key stakeholders from IT and the wider business. There will also be an opportunity for you to contribute to the development and maintenance of IT architecture, standards, and practices, and once you understand the strategy you will work with the wider architecture team to help shape future strategy.

To be considered you must be a self-motivated, passionate Solution Architect who has a good knowledge of IT architecture and IT technical and application experience. You will have strong skills in understanding business needs as well as technical and will bring a proven track record in the selection, implementation and delivery of several projects and IT systems. Your broad knowledge of the IT landscape will mean you have good insight into different technologies, applications, and products from various vendors and you possess a good understanding of risk, issue, change management and project governance. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are also essential. Experience in the financial services industry would be advantageous as would any industry qualifications or certifications. 

This Solution Architect role offers lots of opportunities for home working with very occasional visits to the offices in either Wiltshire or Hampshire (South Coast) for training, meetups, and team get-togethers but there is a lot of flexibility here. This company can also offer flexible working hours and a range of other family-friendly benefits.

In return, a competitive salary £60k-£70k is on offer plus car allowance (c£4.5k), annual bonus, private medical and a superb 12% non-contributory pension. Other perks include discounted gym, discounted tech, share scheme, and more.
