Superb opportunity to lead a brand new MuleSoft team at a company voted one of the top 20 UK Best Places to Work in 2022!

This leading financial services org has made a massive investment in MuleSoft (and Salesforce) and this is a fantastic opportunity to lead a new team that will drive and execute the business's long-term API vision and strategy as part of their training digital transformation initiatives.

Working within a wider agile DevOps Team, you will work closely with the Head of UK DevOps and Architecture teams to build and shape the MuleSoft API team and operating model. The team supports 1000’s of internal users and external customers and have built a wide portfolio of solutions – from significant digital transformation initiatives to innovative cloud-based mobile apps.

The business is now accelerating its digital transformation and API strategy and you and your team can expect a full, varied pipeline of interesting projects to get stuck into.

If you have strong hands-on MuleSoft experience and want to work in an exciting, fast-paced leadership role in an environment where you can further develop your skills then look no further.

To be considered, you will be a proactive and enthusiastic MuleSoft professional with a strong software engineering background and experience in driving, motivating, and leading a team.

You will possess the following:

- Experience in Mule (incl. v4) including either/both on-premise and CloudHub runtimes.
- Experience in developing APIs using MuleSoft within Agile delivery teams.
- Knowledge of REST design principles and API design/architecture best practices.
- Knowledge and proven experience of three-layer integration architecture principles.
- Knowledge of OAS and/or RAML, XML and JSON.
- Knowledge of API security standards.
- Experience in CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps (or similar).
- Experience in using cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Proficiency in unit testing skills using the MUnit framework.

A MuleSoft Development Certification is preferred, and you must have strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

The successful candidate can expect an excellent salary of up to £80k plus a 15% bonus and a superb 12% Non-contributory pension. In addition, you will receive comprehensive benefits including Private Medical, Life, 25 days holiday and a choice of flex benefits including subsidised gym, dental, etc. There are also superb Maternity/Paternity schemes plus all the training and development opportunities you need to keep your career moving forward (including support to achieve Certifications in both MuleSoft and Salesforce).

In terms of location, there is lots of flexibility on offer. You can choose to be based fully remotely or you can work in a hybrid manner splitting your time between home and office. You can even choose to be fully office based if that works best for you. On top of this, there is also flexibility on working hours so you can manage around family/personal commitments.

If you want to take your MuleSoft career to the next level in a company that really looks after you, gives you a good work/life balance and a huge pipeline of exciting projects then apply for this MuleSoft Lead role NOW!
