Systems Engineer
 
Systems Engineer – Investment Management – Hybrid – up to £60k + Bonus
 
Systems Engineer required by an established, fast growing investment management firm.
 
This dynamic, global organisation provides an outsourced investment service for its clients and has over $50B+ in assets under management.
 
They have a dynamic technology team of around 50 people that is responsible for developing and building software solutions as well as managing and optimising COTS applications.  Working closely with the Client Operations team, the technology team are responsible for key systems including the order management system, client reporting systems, client data management and more.  
 
As a Systems Engineer you will be responsible for leading various projects to develop, build, enhance, optimise and transform systems.  You will liaise with internal stakeholders up to a senior level, gather business requirements, translate these to technical specs for the in-house development team and then act as the go-between between for the business, ensuring that solutions are built and fit for purpose.  You will then oversee the implementation and integration of these solutions with existing software and platforms.
 
This business has a really collaborative team environment and is modernizing the technology stack with new technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Serverless Function Apps & Snowflake Data Cloud.
 
To be considered you must have worked with investment banking/capital markets industry and will bring the following:
 

- Strong experience across the full software delivery lifecycle – you may have worked as a software engineer, solution architect or been involved in the software implementation process
- Strong database design and querying skills, preferably in SQL / MySQL
- Experience of working with large data sets
- Good exposure to Python (and/or PHP) scripting (you don’t need to be a coder but you will be able to read and understand scripts)
- Exposure to designing, developing, and managing APIs.
- Experience working in an agile environment

 
In addition to these technical skills, you must be a self-starter, have good analytical skills and possess a passion for solving complex problems.  Strong communication skills are also essential, and you will be confident working and collaborating with stakeholders up to a senior level.

This is a hybrid role that will see you work in the Central London office a minimum of 3 days per week, with 2 days remote.
