Systems Analyst Programmer – 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
 
Systems Analyst required by one of the Top 5 UK Pet Insurers who are going through a huge growth period due to the success of partnership strategies over the past two years.
 
You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of internally developed Policy Management Systems (OpenEdge – Progress Systems), including all aspects of the software development lifecycle. Your duties and responsibilities will also include:
 

- Providing technical guidance to help users and internal teams with the creation of business and functional specifications
- Provide estimations on effort required to deliver a fully functioning solution
- Create system design documents e.g. system diagrams, technical specifications
- Develop and maintain applications and databases by evaluating business needs, analysing requirements, developing software systems
- Ensure coding meets company standards in terms of accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure compliance is met with appropriate group and industry audit requirements and security

 
The right candidate will have/be:
 

- Strong experience in OpenEdge (this is essential)
- Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
- Experience producing test plans and system documentation
- Good communication with the ability to report and highlight any issues

 
With the office based in Watford, you can expect to visit around once a month, providing lots of flexibility with remote working.
 
This role is a 6 month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension. The salary on offer is between £45,000 - £60,000 pro-rata, based on experience along with some great benefits.
